What is Powder Coat?
Powder coat is a mixture of plastic resins and pigment that melt and fuse when heated. The powder is electro-statically charged from a special spray gun. The electrostatic charge holds the powder to the surface while the part is cured in a specially designed oven. The result a durable finish that with stands heat and other extreme conditions.
Is Powder Coat Durable?

What Can Be Coated?
Any metal object that can hold an electrostatic charge and withstand the heat of the curing process can be powder coated. Threads and mating surfaces are masked to prevent assembly or clearance issues.

What About Masking Threads and Holes?
All areas that need to remain free of powder coat are masked using high temp making applied by hand or by our state of the art computer controlled mask cutter. If you have any questions or concerns about masking please contact us. All masking and preparation is figured into your quoted price.
How Do I Choose My Colors and Clear Coats?
We have over 6,500 colors and textures to choose from. Check out the colors page for a further information. Clear coats not only give you more finish options, including Gloss, Flats, and Satin finishes, they also give an even more durable finish. Color matching is a free service, but may require a longer turn around time. If your looking for a specific color, clear combination, or special designs, please contact us for more information.
Can I Use Body Filler?
Body filler is not meant to with stand the high cure temptress of powder coat. If you have an area that may need to be fixed please contact us before your order.
